The French telecommunications operator Orange became Thursday the third premium partner of Paris-2024, allowing the organizing committee for the 2024 Olympic Games to exceed the threshold of 500 million euros garnered four years from the deadline.
"In these difficult times, it is a great pleasure to bring good news," said Stéphane Richard, CEO of Orange.
Orange joins the BPCE and EDF banking group in the club of premium partners and brings the number of official sponsors for Paris-2024 to five alongside the equipment supplier Le Coq sportif and la Française des jeux.
