The Foreign Ministry regrets Armenia's decision to "return to consultations" the ambassador to Israel.

A statement issued by the ministry last night (Thursday) stated that "Israel regrets Armenia's decision to return the Israeli ambassador to consultations.

The Armenian protest was taken following the revelations that in the midst of the military confrontation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Israel supplies ammunition on a large scale to the Azeris.

In recent days, there has been a lively movement of Azerbaijan military transport aircraft to the Ovda Air Force Base in the Negev.

At the same time, the Azeris confirmed that they had purchased a wide variety of weapons from Israel, including drones of various types.

In response to Israel's active assistance to Baku, Armenia announced last night that it was taking a protest step.

Meanwhile, according to unconfirmed reports on social media, the advanced interception system S-300 operated in the skies of the Armenian capital Yerevan and even intercepted a missile fired at the residents.

If this system was indeed used, it may be the first time it is operating on the battlefield openly.

As stated, the reliability of the reports is unclear.

Some of them claimed that it was not the city of Yerevan but the nearby Abubian.

The war between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh region is entering its sixth day today, with hostilities drifting away from the conflict zones in the disputed region.

Yesterday morning it was reported by the Azeri Ministry of Defense that a train station in the city of Tartar, located deep in the Azeri territory, was shelled by the Armenians and one civilian was killed.

The Azeris also reported that since the beginning of the conflict, 16 Azeri civilians had been killed and another 66 wounded in shelling by Armenian forces.

The Armenian shelling comes after last night the Azeris shelled the capital of the Nagorno-Karabakh region, Stepankart.
