A fortnight of detainees after the incidents in Girona and Barcelona on the anniversary of 1-O

The demonstration called by the CDRs on the occasion of the third anniversary of the illegal referendum of October 1, 2017 has so far ended with 15 detainees in Barcelona and 1 in Girona, according to police sources.

In the Catalan capital and in Girona there have been some incidents and protesters have burned some containers.

The concentration was dissolved around 10:30 pm in Girona.

The CDRs have called demonstrations in Barcelona and Girona this afternoon.

Half a thousand people have attended the concentration in the Catalan capital, in Plaça Sant Jaume, and have launched banners against the police.

In Girona, some 300 people have demonstrated and the tension has risen with the burning of at least twenty containers.

The police have surrounded the protesters.

The convocation in Girona began at 7:30 p.m. and the protesters have reached the government sub-delegation, where they have thrown eggs and firecrackers at the Mossos d'Esquadra.

Despite the police warnings, the concentrates have continued to throw objects and have lit the first five containers on Sèquia street.

Subsequently, despite the fact that the CDRs had taken the action for granted on social media, those gathered followed the protest to Gran Vía Jaume I, where they burned more containers at different points along the road.

Some 150 people are still in the Plaza Independència and the vans of the BRIMO and the Mossos d'Esquadra cut off their path, while throwing glass at them that they find in the containers.

In Barcelona, ​​protesters have launched slogans lamenting that politicians have not implemented the mandates of October 1.

From Plaça Sant Jaume they went to Via Laietana, and stopped in front of the National Police Headquarters building.

The protesters have starred in some tense moments with the mossos agents who were guarding the building.

Later, the Mossos intervened in Plaça Catalunya and dissolved the protest after some containers had been crossed and burned.

The protesters have dispersed through the center.
