Participants in the meeting held by the Ministry of Education today discussed the strategic plan of the ministry and its implementation mechanisms at the level of education directorates in the governorates and the central administration in light of the current circumstances.

The participants in the meeting chaired by the Minister of Education Dr. Darem Al-Tabaa and attended by the directors of education in the governorates and the Central Administration in Damascus and Director of the Education Department of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Frederick Avolter reviewed the plan’s provisions and axes, stressing that it is achieved through the continuation and expansion of the educational process and securing all its requirements of educational curricula. Participants in the meeting held at the Martyr Youshaa Mansour Institute for Applied Plastic Arts in Damascus stated that the plan is being implemented within priorities that depend on several foundations, namely compensation for educational losses and the development of alternative learning methods that contribute to providing learning opportunities for all and securing administrative development requirements for workers in the educational sector in its various aspects and developing methods Learning to provide an educational environment that achieves cognitive and value growth for the learner, pointing to the importance of developing modern technologies in learning, providing means of distance learning as a supportive system for the educational process and providing integrated health programs.

The participants in the meeting touched on the axes of the operational plan and the target groups and segments, directly or indirectly, as they emphasized the need to develop educational planning mechanisms in line with technical development by building a map of school buildings within educational educational administrative complexes and linking them to the population distribution and developing them continuously in line with population changes And community development.

They also called for controlling the quality of the educational process, developing career promotion mechanisms, improving the reality of the teacher, teacher, mentor, and director according to clear foundations that achieve justice and build on enhancing competencies in order to ensure quality and interest in early childhood, developing various programs to develop children's experiences and ensure the safety of their mental and physical development.

They pointed to the importance of developing vocational education in all its forms in a way that serves the economic development policies of society, achieving sustainable development, providing requirements for self-sufficiency, enhancing the contribution of education to improving agriculture, industry, tourism and trade as basic pillars of the national economy, developing the private education system, and enhancing governmental and societal participatory development to serve the development of the educational process.

They also drew attention to the need to develop question banks and evaluation systems for general certification exams, to develop psychological and social support mechanisms for learners, to reinforce the requirements for building an integrated human being, to provide preventive school health services that ensure public health and the proper physical and mental development of learners, to ensure the health and safety of educational staff, and to rationalize international cooperation projects to serve Development and quality of the Syrian educational system.

The participants also called for developing alternative learning systems to ensure the education of all pupils and students who have dropped out of schools, who have not enrolled in them or are not in them, and to develop regulations and laws that encourage joining the available educational programs and to establish adequate incentives for them.

Regarding the requirements for implementing educational curricula, the participants pointed out the importance of building advanced educational platforms that connect the learner and teacher to the curriculum development process, developing the programmatic plan for the educational satellite channel, and paying attention to developing the aesthetic taste of learners and establishing an educational database that serves to build a data bank and test bank, developing the evaluation system, testing mechanisms and examinations, including Corresponds to achieving learning standards and ensuring that the skills and knowledge of the learner are measured.

Participants stressed the importance of enhancing the value of teachers and teachers and ensuring a comfortable work environment for them while continuing to work to improve their economic and social reality by developing the incentive system, activating the role of educational and specialist guidance in field follow-up, building modern technical systems in educational supervision, establishing a data bank for mentors, and raising the level of employees' performance in the field. They stressed the importance of fully automating the administrative work in the Ministry of Education and its directorates and educational complexes, developing human resources in the ministry according to the actual need and functional service, reducing the excesses and exceptions that disrupt the educational process, restructuring the institutional work in the ministry and its directorates, and preparing a new internal system for the ministry in light of the structure, new recommendations, and securing The legislative environment that supports the implementation of the ministry's plan.

This plan stems from the role of the Ministry of Education in achieving the quality of the educational process to build a generation capable of improving its life and the life of the community around it, building bridges of peace and love between them, and achieving citizenship that enhances national unity and belonging and advances sustainable development.
