Pastetten

- At the end of the day a good spirit was still watching over the Pastetten house and yard flea market and let the sun shine with all its autumn strength.

The day before, the rainy weather didn't look as if it was worth tying a single balloon to the fence.

That was the sign that the residents of the respective house are present at the Pastetten flea market.

There were around 30 registrations at the community, and a few citizens probably decided to take part on Sunday.

But despite the warming sun, the sales successes this year were rather mixed, it also depends a little on the location.

Tony Schüler and Harry Bretzenbacher and their families have an ideal place right on the main street.

In a good mood, the two of them praised their things - and had a lot to do at lunchtime.

“We created a real traffic jam here, the rush was so big,” says Schüler with a laugh.

According to his neighbor Bretzenbacher, he has already taken in around 150 euros.

Children's items, toys, CDs and DVDs went like hotcakes.

Tony Schüler also points to large gaps in the range.

For him, it was primarily electrical household appliances that found new owners.

"Books and DVDs went rather badly," says the family man.

But he also gave a lot away, after all, it was also a goal to get rid of something.

It's much quieter on Raiffeisenstrasse.

Waltraud Hindahl set up her tables there in front of the hairdresser's shop.

She's been here since mid-morning and has at least sold some household appliances and little things.

“I was expecting more interested parties,” she says, “the customers don't really know where the stands are now”.

There is a map showing the locations, but it is only on a display board.

Her neighbor would also like more advertising and cites Forstinning as an example where posters on the roadsides refer to the local flea market.

At least the word of mouth worked: Martha Baumann and her friends came from Isen.

“We stop by every year,” she explains.

They are not looking for special bargains, “there is always something nice”.

A few streets away, Julia Vogelfänger and her mother Cornelia and other family members mainly sell technical equipment in the garage.

“I've tidied up, I have time now,” says the former mayor.

"It's worth it," says daughter Julia, in bright sunshine some would come by.

Especially children's things are wanted.

Janina Nizol, who has lost her position in Zeilern, has less luck.

She has a lot of children's items on offer, but hardly sold anything.

“I was really looking forward to it, but far fewer people came than I thought,” says the young woman.

But she has not lost her sense of humor.

“At least the weather is nice, I was outside all day, otherwise I might not have done that”.
