Demonstrators who held a protest march against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and government corruption in Tel Aviv this evening (Thursday) reported that during the march, a vehicle drove rapidly toward the marchers on Menachem Begin Street in the city.

According to the protesters, two of the marchers were hit by the vehicle, and received several dry blows.

The protesters added that the police remained indifferent to the incident and that the offending car fled at a red light from the scene of the incident.

According to eyewitnesses, it was a gray Mazda vehicle, when two of them said it would have looked like a deliberate overtaking attempt.

Police said in response that "the report is under investigation, but as of this hour no such incident has been identified."

The "Black Flags" organization, one of the organizers of tonight's demonstrations, said after the incident that "the incitement heard from the prime minister and MKs from the Likud, leads to another criminal attack on the demonstrators against Netanyahu and corruption."

The organization added that "the time has come for the ombudsman to wake up and prosecute Mickey Zohar and other hate echoes.

"He will not come to cry at funerals when they kill demonstrators here." The demonstrators also said that they "expect the police to deviate from their custom, catch the criminals, and the prosecutor's office to prosecute them."
