Engineer Mayada Al-Tanji, Director of the Public Institution Branch, explained in a statement to SANA's correspondent that an amount of 500 million pounds has been allocated from the reconstruction budget for the implementation of rehabilitation and restoration work, including 407 million pounds for the restoration of the housing project in the old Friday market area near the Hanano housing and 80 million pounds for the youth housing restoration project In the Maasraniya area, east of Aleppo, with an area of ​​68 hectares and accommodating 4 thousand apartments, the value of damages amounted to one billion and one hundred million pounds, and an amount of 13 million pounds was allocated for the rehabilitation and restoration of the damages in the eastern Ansari area.

And she indicated that an amount of one billion and 200 million pounds has been allocated to complete the implementation of works in youth housing projects, of which 800 million have been allocated to the modernization project and to organize four contracts with the Military Construction Corporation for their implementation and are under ratification in the Ministry of Housing in addition to allocating 400 million pounds to carry out rehabilitation works in the Friday market the old.

She pointed out that, according to the investment plan, contracts for completion of non-executed works in the Maasraniya area worth two billion five hundred million pounds were concluded with the Military Construction Corporation, and three contracts were implemented in which the percentage of completion was 40 percent. Work was carried out in this region to remove the violating buildings, allocate the occupants of violations and empty about 39 plots consisting of 870 apartments have been outsourced and the structure works commenced, with a completion rate of 25 percent.

Al-Tanji indicated that at the beginning of last September, a committee was formed from the Foundation and the Governorate of Aleppo, and the residential area in the Ashrafieh neighborhood was received and contained 40 divisions whose contracts were signed with citizens and received in addition to 12 divisions that are still owned by the institution and 50 apartments were allocated at the beginning of the crisis to the occupants of violations and there are 190 apartments Their damages will be inventoried, work to repair them, rehabilitate them, and assign them to citizens.

In the housing project of the old military hospital in Maysaloun, works on the general site were completed, including sidewalks, streets, and infrastructure, and the installation of doors for offices and damaged housing, worth 20 million pounds. As for the residential expansion project of the city in western Aleppo, which consists of eight residential buildings containing 139 dwellings designated for citizens, the restoration has been completed. Rehabilitation of the buildings and work is underway to receive the executed works, according to Al-Tanji.

SANA's camera has surveyed in the field the rehabilitation and restoration works for residential buildings in the Maasraniya area, where Engineer Firas Al-Ahmad, director of the rehabilitation and restoration works project carried out by the Military Construction Corporation, explained that the project consists of 1080 apartments and 36 records and is divided into two parts. The second section is the rehabilitation of damages, whose value is 800 million pounds, and includes the restoration and rehabilitation of the damaged buildings, and their processing, re-cladding and coating of stone, tiles, sanitary and electricity works, pointing out that 660 apartments have been prepared currently, and work is being done to finish preparing the rest of the apartments.
