While conflicting information on Donald Trump's health fueled concern over his real condition, his personal doctor was reassuring on Sunday during the now ritual press briefing held from the Walter Reed military hospital, near Washington .
"In fact, he's doing really well,"
said Dr Sean Conley.
But turning around on his previous statements, the doctor announced that he had
"recommended to the president an oxygen supplementation".
"Our hope is to get him out of the hospital tomorrow and continue his treatments from the White House"
added another physician, Brian Garibaldi.
However, the medical team announced that the president's oxygen had dropped twice since the onset of symptoms.
He remains on the antiviral medicine Remdesivir, which prevents the virus from replicating, and has been placed on dexamethasone, a corticosteroid used to treat severe cases.
