For reasons still unknown, this father of Sri Lankan origin is said to have killed with a knife his wife, his two children aged 18 months and 5 years and two of his young nephews, aged 8 and 11, in its pavilion in Noisy-le-Sec.
He also reportedly seriously injured the parents of his nephews and more lightly affected the couple's two older children.
Hospitalized in serious condition for several knife wounds, the suspect was still in intensive care on Sunday evening, said the prosecution.
The Tamil community of Noisy-le-Sec in which the suspect and the victims were living was in shock.

” explained Sasi Mahalingam, president of the Franco-Tamil association of Noisy-le-Sec, which brings together around 80 people from the region. community.
