Corona virus has claimed the lives of more than one million and 44 thousand people around the world since it began spreading last December, according to the latest statistics of the American World Meters site.
The site stated that the total deaths from the Coronavirus around the world so far have reached 1,044,601 cases, while the total number of cases has increased to 35,632,914, and recoveries from infection with the virus have reached 26,786,438 cases.
The United States continues to lead the countries most affected by the virus in terms of infections and deaths, registering 214889 deaths out of 7668358, followed by India after recording 103,600 deaths out of 6682073 cases, then Brazil, with 146,417 deaths out of 4918022 injuries.
In the Arab world, Jordan recorded 1,824 new infections and 9 deaths from the Coronavirus during the past twenty-four hours, which brings the total number of infections to 17,464, and the total deaths to 110 cases.
