A sign on the Internet with the inscription
"Unfortunately no access for guests from Tyrol"
caused heated discussions.

Munich - The Kaiserschmarrn still enjoys a good reputation today.
The praise is not entirely fresh, it dates from 2017, but
it appears at the front on
the
Priener Hütte
Facebook page
.
It's easy to miss it these days.
Because above the post there are a few messages that are more current - and formulated a lot more fiery.
There
is talk of
“absolute cheek”
there, “absolutely no one should support such a company”, because “with good neighbors” one cannot deal with each other like that.
There is no shortage of exclamation marks.
And all because the hosts of the Priener Hütte, which is located in Aschau and therefore within walking distance of Tyrol, wanted to strictly adhere to the guidelines.
Almost two weeks ago the Federal Foreign Office
issued
a
travel warning for Tyrol
.
Anyone who comes to Germany from a risk area must - unless they can present a current negative Corona * test or are traveling on business - be quarantined for 14 days.
The innkeepers of the Priener Hütte then put up a note with explosive content.
"Unfortunately no entry for guests from Tyrol"
is written above it.

Coronavirus Bavaria: Anti-Tyrolean shield is making waves
The subject quickly made waves.
One could think that one is in the middle of a Tyrolean smelter war, and Andreas Buttler, one of the landlords, is doing his best to de-escalate.
"For God's sake we have nothing against Tyroleans," he
assured the "Tiroler Tageszeitung".
Just follow the rules.
What if there is a corona case and the patient comes from the south?
Even Kufstein's mayor Martin Krumschnabel expressed understanding:
"It is probably an act of self-defense."
This is where things get complicated.
Because according to the letters of the law, innkeepers do not need to intervene at all.
"There is currently no
ban on accommodation
" for people from risk areas, says Marcus da Gloria Martins, spokesman for the Bavarian Corona task force.
Strictly speaking, Buttler doesn't have to lock out anyone who wants to spend the night under his roof.
Even if he comes from Tyrol.
Coronavirus Bavaria: Andreas Buttler has taken off his sign again
In daily practice, however, the problem is another.
“Basically, the Tyrolean is not allowed to go over there,” remembers Gloria Martins.
There may be a few
exceptions
for travelers from risk areas, but usually they don't apply to hikers who want to stop for a wheat beer and the good Kaiserschmarrn.
The small border traffic, if you take it seriously, has just stalled from south to north.
Of course there are still people who are not so strict about it.
What a leisure activity means for them is a violation of the entry quarantine regulation for the authorities.
They can be prosecuted ex officio, but not up in the hut.
"That is not the landlord's topic," says Gloria Martins.
Mountain restaurateurs
have to take care of hygiene concepts, distance rules and the correct registration of guests.
But not about whether someone is allowed to be on this side of the border at all.
After a
question from the Ministry of Health
, Andreas Buttler now also sees it that way.
He has taken off his sign again.
Now he hopes that peace will return, up in his mountain idyll.
