Members of the Civil Defense and the Fire Brigade in Al-Hasakah extinguished a fire that broke out in a number of prefabricated classrooms in Abi Tammam School in Al-Hasakah.
The commander of the Hasaka Fire Brigade, Colonel Jihad Hamido, stated to the SANA reporter that a fire broke out in one of the prefabricated classrooms in the yard of the Abi Tammam school, and the members of the fire brigade and civil defense managed to surround the fire and extinguish it before it spread to the people.
For her part, Director of Al-Hasakah Education, Ilham Surkhan, indicated that the causes of the fire are still unknown and investigations are underway to determine the causes of the fire, confirming that the people's classroom walls adjacent to the branch in which the fire broke out were damaged.
Within the school yard, there are eight prefabricated classroom divisions that were installed to accommodate students after the schools were taken over by the Qasd militia associated with the American occupation.
