Firefighting teams in Homs Governorate are working to extinguish a large fire that broke out in the woods of a town near Ali in the western countryside of Homs.
Elias Bitar, Head of the Tal Kalakh Forest Department, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the Homs Fire Brigade, the Civil Defense and the Ministry of Agriculture are trying to control the fire, but the ruggedness of the area makes the process difficult, indicating that the fire is located to the northern side of the town near Ali.
Bitar pointed out that the firefighting teams managed to extinguish a fire that broke out in the village of Dagla and are currently working to extinguish another fire in the town of Zueitina in the Wadi Al-Nadara region in the western countryside of Homs.
At the beginning of last month, firefighting teams managed to extinguish a large fire that broke out for several days in the woods of the town near Ali.
