The number of industrial and craft establishments licensed and implemented since the beginning of this year until the end of the third quarter of it in Homs reached 140 industrial and craft establishments with a total capital estimated at six and a half billion Syrian pounds, of which 60 establishments and trades entered the work and production space.
Engineer Bassam Al-Saeed, Director of Homs Industry, stated in a statement to SANA that the licensed and implemented establishments during the current year secure about 600 job opportunities, indicating the rise and recovery of the industrial sector in the governorate with an increase of about 20 percent in the number of establishments compared to the corresponding period of last year.
He added that 60 industrial and craft establishments entered the work and production, including 33 industrial establishments, most of them in the food sector with 17 new ones, then the chemical sector with 11 establishments in addition to 4 engineering and one textile, indicating that the rest of the facilities and crafts currently licensed are under preparation to start work and production.
For their part, Mahmoud al-Mahmoud, Hakam, and Muhammad Ezz al-Din, the owners of industrial facilities in the countryside of the governorate, indicated the availability of appropriate conditions for work and moving the wheel of production through the availability of all work requirements such as raw materials, energy sources and others that support the local market with various national products at competitive prices to neighboring markets and with specifications and quality High.
