La Marisoul begins a stage as a soloist.

This Friday, the powerful voice of the Mexican-American group La Santa Cecilia presented "La Marisoul and The Love Notes Orchestra", an album inspired by his father.

The production resulted from a La Marisoul presentation in February, before the coronavirus pandemic broke out in the United States.

“The experience felt very special, so we decided to record it.

The result and the magic were clear, this was what it was about, a Love Letter to the world and to my father, "said the singer through a statement.

My first musical baby as a soloist has already come out !!

I'm nervous, I'm happy !! 😍 This is a Love note to my Father.

Lalo, as they called my dad, was a charismatic, stylish, mischievous.

A lover of life, love and music - a bohemio!

I remember he'd tell me how happy it would make him to one day hear me sing our favorite boleros in orquesta style, like Daniel Santos and Toña La Negra.

We loved listening to boleros from this era.

Finally this year I had the opportunity to work with a 24 piece orchestra and had tons of fun with new arrangements!

It felt like this was becoming something very special, so we decided to have the event recorded.

The result and magic was clear, this was that, a Love Note to the world and to my father.

I hope you enjoy these classics as much as we did, with love and cariño always.

La Marisoul GO LISTEN to the WHOLE ALBUM and tell me what you think !! 😘 I invite you to listen and watch “Un Telegrama” LINK IN BIO! 👆🏾💖 #lamarisoul #lovenotesorchestra

This is the first installment of two productions that Marisol Hernández, better known as La Marisoul, will present with her Love Notes Orchestra.

In this volume, the singer reinterprets seven classics of Latin music.

La Marisoul and her boleros of yesteryear

In the production, the singer transports us to genres that seem to be forgotten in the

mainstream

today, such as boleros.

The latter, a passion of his father and who was accompanied by a 24-piece orchestra to interpret them.

«We loved listening to boleros from that era.

Finally, this year I had the opportunity to work with an orchestra made up of 24 instrumentalists and have fun with new arrangements, "he added.

"Telegrama" is the single with which La Marisoul presents the production.

It is accompanied by a video that was recorded during the quarantine and in the garage of one of his companions from La Santa Cecilia.

Telegrama was composed by the brothers Gregorio and Alfredo García Segura in 1959 and, according to a statement, gained fame thanks to the interpretation of the Chilean singer Mona Bell.

"Little black angels"

La Marisoul's roots in La Santa Cecilia, with her songs about the realities of Latinos in the United States, flourished in this production with songs like "Angelitos Negros", which talks about discrimination.

The theme is an adaptation of "Píntame angelitos negros" by the Venezuelan poet Andrés Eloy Blanco.

The musical version was performed by the Mexican Manuel Álvarez Maciste.

One of the best known versions of this bolero is the one performed by Toña La Negra and released in 1942.

The album is available on all streaming platforms.
