Sunday, October 11, dozens of young people attacked a police station in Champigny-sur-Marne in Val-d'Oise.
In recent months, several police stations have been attacked in Île-de-France, each time using “mortars”, large-caliber fireworks, prohibited for sale to individuals in France.

The use of these pyrotechnic means is not new, "
we have seen this for about twenty years
", explains Thierry Clair, deputy general secretary of the UNSA Police union.

But previously, we only saw them around July 14.

Champigny-sur-Marne: two attacks in a few months
The latest example, the Champigny-sur-Marne police station was once again the target of an attack.
He had already been in April.
This time around forty young people tried to enter the police station, armed with iron bars.
The assailants, however, were unable to pass through the armored doors that protected the police station.
It all started with a traffic accident.
The police are accused of being responsible for it and it is in the district of Bois-l'Abbé (a district classified as “republican reconquest”, very marked by drug trafficking) that young people have gathered to attack. at the police station.
The attackers used fireworks and five cars were set on fire.
The police faced the attackers for hours on end, and calm returned around 1 a.m.
Jouy-le-Moutier: failed fire attempt
On the night of June 9 to 10, 2020, the Jouy-le-Moutier police station (Val-d'Oise) was the target of an attack.
Shortly after 3 a.m., five or six people fired mortars at the front of the police station.
They also attempted to set the building on fire with a rag soaked in gasoline, but failed.
Argenteuil: four wounded police officers
On the night of May 18 to 19, the Argenteuil police station was attacked for hours by around fifty individuals.
The previous Sunday, an 18-year-old from the town had been killed on a scooter while trying to escape the police.
Quickly, young people from the city had made the police responsible, before going directly to the police station.
The assailants fired mortars and threw molotov cocktails at the police station.
Several trash and car fires were also set off to surround the police.
Four policemen were injured, three of them lightly.
Les Mureaux, Fontenay-le-Fleury, Plaisir: three attacks in three days in July
Between July 6 and 9, every night, police stations in Yvelines were attacked at Les Mureaux, Fontenay-le-Fleury, Plaisir.
Each time, several dozen people attacked the officials with mortar fire and stone throwing.
In the surrounding municipalities, in Mantes-la-Jolie, or Guyencourt, several police patrols had also been attacked at the same time.
Les Ulis: an attack without motivation?
On May 17, it was the Ulis police station that was attacked with fireworks.
This time, a policeman, questioned by

“However, there was no event during the day, such as an arrest or a security operation which could have ignited the powder.
We really have the impression that it is a totally free act
”.
Traps: violence at the exit of confinement
May 16, 11:15 p.m., the Trappes police station in Yvelines was attacked by fireworks.
The ten people behind the shootings were distributed on both sides of the gate, they then fled, pursued by the police from the Anti-Crime Brigade.
Confronted with the gang of young people behind the attack, the police used de-encircling grenades to disperse the group, without any injuries being reported.
Boissy-Saint-Léger: acid attack
On Monday February 3, at around 9:20 p.m., three bottles of acid were thrown into the courtyard of the Boissy-Saint-Léger police station in Val-de-Marne.
One of these bottles exploded, poisoning four police officers.
The police responded by throwing de-encirclement grenades.
This attack mobilized the central laboratory of the Prefecture of Police as well as 11 security devices, 40 firefighters and a doctor from Samu.
Police unions are worried about these attacks.
For them, the diagnosis is simple: "
we see that the principle of sanctuary of the police station has exploded, the feeling of impunity is spreading
", explains Frédéric Lagache, national representative of the Alliance Police union.
