Ramadama campaigns actually take place in spring.

In Poing there was one for the first time in autumn - organized by the species protection interest group.

Autumn cleaning in the community is fun - at least that is the impression of the Poinger Interest Group for Art Protection (IGA) of the first Ramadama autumn campaign, which it carried out on Sunday.

It was a private action, similar to the official Ramadama organized by the community, which takes place in the spring.

According to the organizers, over 30 citizens took part in the premiere of the IGA's autumn cleaning.

From individuals to couples to families with children.

Equipped by the IGA with garbage bags and grippers, the participants wandered through the Poingen municipal area for several hours "and picked up everything that careless people had simply thrown on the ground: loads of cigarette butts, plastic buckets, bottles, plastic foils and bags, tetrapaks, rusted bicycle locks , Coffee-to-go cups and and and ", lists IGA spokeswoman Christina P. Tarnikas.

All sorts of rubbish on meadows, in bushes, on paths

In advance and based on the registration numbers (due to the corona rules, participation was only possible after prior registration), the IGA has determined a total of 37 collection areas.

"In Poing-Nord in particular, there were many collectors in action," reports Tarnikas.

Almost all of the hotspots in Old and New Poing named by the Poingen construction depot could be searched, including all Poingen parks, the IGA spokeswoman said.

A lot of rubbish has accumulated around the market square and in the S-Bahn area.

According to Tarnikas, the container stand on the south side of the S-Bahn station, behind the station building to the west, was extremely unsightly: "There, the collectors found an extremely large amount of rubbish in the hedges and in the greenery."

Big thanks to participants and the building yard

In a press release sent out on Monday, IG Artenschutz thanks all collectors for their great commitment.

We were very happy that so many people sacrificed their free time for environmental protection and for clean poing. ”Special thanks also go to the construction depot, whose employees actively supported the IGA and who gave the garbage bags and tongs for the campaign free of charge made available.

“Of course we made sure that all Corona hygiene rules were adhered to during the entire campaign,” says the end of the press release.

At the end of the campaign, the collected garbage was deposited in a place where the building yard will pick it up.

According to Tarnikas, this person takes care of proper disposal.

"New comrades are always welcome," said IGA spokeswoman Christina P. Tarnikas.
