A straight and clear connecting line runs between Avichai Mandelblit's future candidacy for the Supreme Court and Naftali Bennett's planned race for the Prime Minister's Office.

The ombudsman, like the chairman of the right, is trying to climb to the summit he marked for himself with a big wink to the other camp.

A group that so far has refused to accept them into its ranks.

In recent weeks, Mandelblit is beginning to feel the crispness of their support.

For them, once he has completed the goal, it is no longer needed.

Bennett still enjoys the doubt and the polls, but may find himself in the same situation long before the polls open.

Many, in the political system and in the Israeli public, wondered what caused Mandelblit's change of mind, who became the "family adviser to the government" and the main recipient of leftist protesters who wanted to oust Netanyahu by legal means while putting pressure on those who saw the weak link. Happily the legal moves against Netanyahu, including the hasty filing of indictments with the prime minister on a political mission abroad, and the rendering of all the shortcomings discovered so far during and after the investigation.

We received the answer yesterday in the publication of Amit Segal and Guy Peleg on Channel 12. Mandblit felt that the top prosecutors, headed by Shai Nitzan, were grabbing him by the throat.

Now it is not a question of appreciation but of the words of Mandelblit himself as shared by his friend Efi Naveh.

From here to the break the road was short.

If you can not fight them, join them.

And so did Mandelblit.

Very quickly he discovered how comfortable the other side was.

The demonstrations are gone.

The media is caressing.

Scandals are disappearing from the agenda.

The new Minister of Justice backs up and whitewashes any eclipse that arises.

the good life.

As many politicians from the right have in the past flirted with the left and seen the light.

The problem that has been revealed to them, as to Mandelblit in recent times, is that after they have exhausted their ability or achieved their goal, they have abandoned sighs.

In recent weeks, Mandblit has been discovering how everything around him is starting to fall apart.

After he had already filed the indictments, after the hearing and after a date had already been set for the trial, he was no longer needed and the negative publications against him were only accumulating.

The steps on the ladder he intended to climb to the Supreme Court are loose and fragile than he thinks.

Those who were supposed, in his imagination, to fight his war, begin to disappear and turn their backs on him.

The tweeters of the left, who applauded him just two days ago, suddenly began to remind their followers that the man is not clean-handed and has a problematic past.

Naftali Bennett is also on the ladder.

In the polls, he receives widespread support in the second camp.

Now that he is perceived as an alternative to Netanyahu, they are with him.

Tomorrow, when a new prince comes on the white horse, they will abandon and move to him.

He will therefore have to decide sharply and clearly to which camp he belongs.

In the previous round, with the establishment of the new right, he lost votes from both directions and was left with nothing.

To make sure that this time things will end differently, he must carefully consider his moves from now on.
