The Damascus quartet resolved to the anthem as a guest at the opera theater in Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts during today's concert titled "The Messenger of Love", which was distinguished by presenting the eyes of religious singing.
The Damascus Quartet chants Mustafa Al-Sheikh, Ghassan Al-Sarouji, Muhammad Shafiq Al-Shaar and Mahmoud Al-Sayyad worked during the evening program to incorporate poems from the past and present from the Sufi chants.
The evening program included the prophetic praise and solemnity in different musical and lyrical styles, rich with ingenuity and professionalism in terms of melodies and different singing performances from the Damascene heritage link, composed by the pioneer of religious chanting, Muslim Bitar, followed by the operetta “Sent to Perfection” composed by Rida Sharif and the poems “Haig of longing and distress, and for the sake of your remembrance. .
The evening also featured the pieces “Ya Saad who prays” composed by Muhammad al-Shaar and “Close the Eye” composed by Imad Rami, the link “Hazrat and Dhikr” from the old heritage, and the poems of “Yamen Raja” and “Abandoned by the Countries” and others.
It is noteworthy that the Damascus Anthem Quartet was established in 2014 through the joining of four heads of groups from different artistic lines who merged into one band with the selection of the best choir elements from the previous groups with the aim of reaching distinction and whose concerts are dominated by the character of reviving the original religious singing heritage in order to preserve and present it in a more sophisticated way.
