The theatrical show “The Wooden Seat” by its author and director Maurice Fayyad, on the stage of El-Kabbani Theater, attracts a wide audience, although it is a non-professional experience and is presented as part of the Youth Theater Support project.
The play presented by the Directorate of Theaters and Music in the Ministry of Culture was rich with its symbols and open questions about love, life, and moral and human values in a distinguished performance by the artists Taj al-Din Deif Allah and Rola Tahmaz and its director Fayyad, who explained to "SANA" that the work is realistic and based on three characters "two men and a woman" Each one carries a different thought that is brought together by circumstances, social relations, love, friendship and marriage, to show that the wrong understanding of some of these concepts sometimes leads to disagreements after pairing.
Actor Taj El-Din Dhaif talked about his role that represents the complex of the play, and through it the work turns from a state of joy to a state of tragedy, considering that the show exposes the state of contradiction in the values that Eastern societies live.
The artist Tahmaz considered that the work added to her a lot, and it is like a project for her graduation from the Institute of Dramatic Arts, in which she finished her studies three years ago without a graduation project.
