(CNN Spanish) ––

Less than three weeks before the presidential elections in the US, time is short for each of the campaigns and also for the cast of "Hamilton."

Its actors have decided to put all their talents at the disposal of the Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

This Friday, several members of the original cast of the popular Broadway play, including its creator and protagonist, the Puerto Rican Lin-Manuel Miranda, will carry out an event, whose objective is to raise funds for Biden's campaign.

The meeting will be virtual and will take place on Friday at 9 pm, Miami time.

It will include a talk with actors from "Hamilton", a play that opened in New York in 2015 and has since become one of the most sought after by audiences in the Broadway theater district.

Although it is expected that there will be some kind of musical interpretation, it is not about recreating the entire work.

Rather, it will be an act in which its protagonists declare their alliance with Biden.

To witness this gathering, the public is asked to make a donation to the Biden Victory Fund.

Thus, instructions will be received on how to access the Hamilton event on Friday night.

The Biden campaign website ensures that much of the public is donating an average amount of $ 25 per person.

However, it allows each one to choose the amount they see fit, although it also has boxes that give the figures of US $ 100, US $ 250 and US $ 1,000 as an option.

Miranda has made other efforts on behalf of the Joe Biden campaign.

In addition, in recent days he has also dedicated himself to supporting the documentary "Siempre, Luis", broadcast on HBO, CNN's sister network.

The production follows the efforts of his father, Luis Miranda, to bring the musical "Hamilton" together to Puerto Rico, after the devastation of Hurricane Maria on the island three years ago.

The musical "Hamilton", for its part, has been one of the great success stories on Broadway: it achieved multiple triumphs at the Tony Awards, for the best of American theater.

It also won the prestigious Pulitzer Prize in 2016.

The success of this historical work, told in a modern and urban language, led the Disney company to also take it to the movies, with a special presentation on its streaming platform in July.
