Lebanese President Michel Aoun announced today the postponement of the parliamentary consultations that were scheduled for tomorrow to choose a political figure to take over the government for another week, at the request of some parliamentary blocs.
The Lebanese National Agency quoted the Information Office of the Presidency of the Republic as saying in a statement that the President of the Republic decided to postpone the binding parliamentary consultations that were scheduled for tomorrow October 15, 2020, until Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the same time.
The statement pointed out that the postponement came "at the request of some parliamentary blocs because of the difficulties that require work to solve them."
The Presidency of the Lebanese Republic had set tomorrow a date for the binding parliamentary consultations to choose a political figure to form the new government.
