Ayuso flies alone in the PP

2020-10-14T02:12:53.184Z

The president opened Tuesday's day with an interview in the 'Financial Times', called for the cessation of the state of alarm and met with the leader of the opposition, Ángel Gabilondo

It was not just any day.

On Tuesday and 13 of 2020 he woke up in Madrid in a salmon color.

The most prestigious economic newspaper in the world gave an interview to President Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

It was the first time that the leader of the Community spoke of the regional situation in her own words in a newspaper that arrives every morning in all the offices of the world's prime ministers.

Little joke.

The goal of the president's team was met in a matter of minutes.

It was the most talked about of the day in the social gatherings, on the radios, in the news of half Spain and on social networks.

Once again, he overlapped his leader, Pablo Casado.

Ayuso is, before Europe and before Trump, the opposition of Pedro Sánchez in Spain.

He said that the Prime Minister and his Vice President, Pablo Iglesias, are trying to transform Spain into a place where only "one way of thinking is allowed."

And he gave his own version of events on what has happened in the region in recent weeks.

“[The pandemic in Madrid] is more of a political problem, not a health one.

We were doing things right.

Just when we had applied sensible and fair measures that were giving results, the Spanish Government quickly decided to change its discourse and impose a very different model of confinement, which is very bad for the economy, does not solve the problem and has been rejected by the courts " , He said.

Ayuso neglected to mention that this model was approved by consensus among all the communities three weeks ago.

That the popular president Alfonso Fernández Mañueco applies them in Castilla y León in cities like Palencia and León.

And that President Alberto Núñez Feijoo, also from his party, has applied them in Galicia in cities like Ourense.

But Ayuso already flies alone within the PP.

In Genoa, they even begin to worry about such a latitude of flight.

If the morning in the Puerta del Sol building started out salmon-colored, in the vice-presidency's office, which is located just 200 meters away, it turned red.

Concern.

Tension.

And friendly fire.

Ignacio Aguado received an unforeseen blow.

In Ciudadanos they are puzzled.

They are not able to mark agenda.

They do not finish casting their messages to the media.

Ayuso overlaps any movement of his vice president, who is increasingly disguising himself as his adversary.

The vice mayor of the capital and of Ciudadanos, Begoña Villacís, said in an interview - lately in any station in Spain there is a politician from Madrid at nine in the morning - that the Covid Group "is not going to be of any use."

Villacís punched the leader of his own party in the region.

It was obvious that the one who leads the baton in the Covid Group, where the Deputy Minister and the Minister of Health meet every Tuesday, is precisely Ignacio Aguado.

Two hours later, the party's spokesman in the Assembly, César Zafra, threw a cloak on its leader.

"If the state of alarm is lifted right now, we would not have restriction measures, and we cannot not have restriction measures," he said.

Citizens, divided.

In the region they say one thing and in the City Council the opposite.

Divide and conquer.

The popular already rub their hands.

The political afternoon was over.

The president's team announced at 2:00 p.m. an appearance with questions for 5:00 p.m. in the building of the Real Casa de Correos.

Aguado's team, of course, was not informed of this move.

He was announcing another meeting to the media.

The Covid group that has led for weeks and begins to be questioned by the popular and by some members of Ciudadanos would meet at 7:30 p.m.

The two governments in one of the Community of Madrid tried to set the political and media agenda for the afternoon.

The slogan on both teams was identical: you have to try to open the evening news.

Ayuso's press conference began at 5:00 p.m.

There appeared the mayor of the capital, José Luis Martínez Almeida, the president and the Minister of Health, Enrique Ruiz Escudero.

The two institutions of Madrid, in capital letters.

All three called for the immediate lifting of the state of alarm in the capital.

"They want to annihilate our economy and put a brake on our economic and social development in our region," said the president with a very forceful tone and with very harsh messages.

A phrase that his own Minister of Economy, Citizens, does not share, of course.

Manuel Giménez said the opposite on Monday.

"The state of alarm has caused a rebound in billing."

Again, two governments in one.

Again, Citizens.

What does it seem to Ayuso that Aguado and Zafra demarcate themselves from the request to lift the state of alarm?

"It all depends on which member of Ciudadanos you ask," Ayuso replied sarcastically.

“Begoña Villacís says that this issue should disappear.

I have to thank the vice mayor for supporting us ”.

To mention Aguado, as almost always, not a trace.

Gabilondo still does not rule out motion of censure

The PSOE spokesman in the Madrid Assembly, Ángel Gabilondo, reached out his hand this Tuesday to the regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, to try to overcome the confrontation between the central government and the regional executive.

In a letter sent to the president on Monday, Gabilondo asked Ayuso for an interview "as quickly as possible" so that, "with dialogue and collaboration," both can "overcome this climate of tension that does nothing to favor" the fight against pandemic.

Ayuso picked up the glove and summoned Gabilondo at 6.30 pm yesterday.

Gabilondo did not rule out a motion of no confidence.

A solution that will be studied "in all seriousness" when the situation is "oriented a little" and there is no longer a "social emergency" and when "ways of agreement are sought to resolve the problem." "We have asked the president to lower the Frontist language, which does not benefit anyone, to join forces, "he said after the meeting.

"There is a certain consensus on the technical side, in everything that has to do with the figures. I think this is very important. If we work in this line we can move forward with the ministry and with the Community. We have talked about the state of alarm. We aspire that it is not necessary and does not last long. The name causes a concern, but it is only an instrument to take measures with legal guarantees ".
