A police officer was hospitalized in serious condition after being run over by the driver of a car on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, October 14 in Savigny-sur-Orge (Essonne), AFP learned from police sources.

Around 1.30 am, a crew from the Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC) approached to check the car, a “
stolen
”
Peugeot
, these sources told AFP.
The driver then restarted and ran over the policeman, a 40-year-old crossing guard.
The latter was hospitalized with a "
vital prognosis engaged
", they added.
The driver fled
These facts occur in a context of police unrest after a series of violence against them.
After being brought together by the Minister of the Interior on Tuesday, the trade unions must be received Thursday by President Macron, to mention in particular their "
