The registration centers accredited in public universities and their branches announced that the number of applicants for general comparison of all kinds and those registered with the secondary certificate “Literary Branch” for the academic year 2020-2021 exceeded 120 thousand students.

And at Tishreen University in Lattakia, the university president, Dr. Bassam Hassan, stated that the number of students applying has reached 17,200, while at Tartous University more than 4,500 students, according to Dr. Adeeb Barhoum, Vice President of the University for Administrative Affairs, who indicated that the number of requests for amendment exceeded 450.

At the University of Hama, Dr. Muhammad Ziyad Sultan, President of the University, confirmed that the total number of applicants reached 12,000 students.

At the University of Aleppo, Ahmed Bazar, Director of Student Affairs at the university, explained that the number of applicants reached 16435, including 9653 students for the scientific branch, 6024 for the literary branch, and 758 for the professional, indicating that this year the comparison of granting private universities to medical colleges has been incorporated into the general comparison of the scientific branch to ensure that no seat is wasted in Preparatory year and in the seats of special scholarships.
