This Friday the computer experts will try to open the phones of Silvia Saravia (69) and Jorge Neuss (72) in search of some information that allows unraveling the motive for the femicide in the country Martindale, of Pilar.

There are two iPhone, two iPad and two computers that will begin to assess at the request of María José Basiglio, from the prosecutor's office specializing in gender violence in Pilar.

According to the sources consulted by

Clarín

, before killing his wife, the businessman sent

two text messages from his cell phone to greet two friends on their birthdays

.

They were sent 24 and 22 minutes before the first call for help to 911, when Neuss had already attacked Saravia in the bathroom.

On Saturday morning, the femicide had breakfast alone in his room, while Saravia had left and returned around 11. Shortly after, the brutal attack began.

Reconstruction of the event made it possible to establish that Silvia was murdered by her husband in the bathroom.

There was a struggle and she tried to resist the attack, but Neuss grabbed her hair and shot her in the head.

Afterwards, the businessman walked a few meters and, in the dressing room, shot himself in the temple.

The bullet was embedded in the gabled roof and the Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum pistol at its feet.

That was

one of the 30 weapons that

 the femicide

had registered

, as

Clarín

anticipated

this Wednesday.

Now it will be necessary to continue looking for information in electronic devices to try to understand what happened before the crime was committed.

The four children of the family, Juan, Patricio, Lucila and Germán Neuss, have already declared, who denied knowing any previous history of gender violence or indications of an imminent divorce, as it transpired.

These are the couple's two iPhones, their two iPads, a MacBook Air notebook and a desktop computer.

"The idea is to try to unlock cell phones, tablets and computers to see if we find any clues about what motivated Neuss to murder his wife and then commit suicide. They will try to recover and analyze all text and audio messages, incoming and outgoing calls and emails ", judicial sources explained to

Télam

.

The expert opinion will be carried out this Friday at 12 at the headquarters of the San Isidro Attorney General's Office, with experts from the Judicial Police force that depends on the Buenos Aires General Attorney, but some messages sent by the femicide were anticipated.

To do this, the computer experts use a program called UFED (Universal Forensic Extraction Device, according to its acronym in English) that tries to unlock the computers with different combinations of passwords, something that the children denied having.

As they are models from the Apple company, as they do not have access pins and because of the security with which they come from the factory, it

is one of the most difficult to open.

Jorge Neuss and his wife Silvia Saravia.

Julio Ernesto López, specialist in Information Technology and Security, explained to

Clarín

that the UFED system, from the Cellebrite company, is the one used for this type of investigation.

"The first thing it does is try its own database that contains 70% of the most used passwords worldwide. They are the most common and many times they are successful," he said.

If they cannot open them that way, the protocol indicates to do it through computers or the cloud.

"Now the devices store everything in the cloud. So, if the phone cannot be opened, we try to find what is downloaded virtually, in this case in iCloud. The next step may be to regain access through the accounts of mail, like Gmail, that usually collaborates with the Justice in this type of processes ", detailed López.

The truth is that the couple's children were unable to provide the passwords.

For Justice it will be important to determine what happened moments before the crime, how Neuss happened in a few minutes from sending two birthday greetings to killing the woman he was married to.

They also want to refine the timeline, to know exactly what time Silvia arrived at her house, what she had done that morning or if she was able to tell a friend about a violent situation that could explain the fatal outcome.

Next week Silvia Saravia's friends and a sister are expected to declare, with the same intention.

They seek to understand the context of the couple to identify possible motives.

The crime occurred in the same country where on August 21, 2015 Fernando Farré slit his throat and stabbed his wife Claudia Schaefer (44) (44), for which he was sentenced to life imprisonment.

In addition, Saravia had been a friend and classmate in the Sociology career of María Marta García Belsunce, murdered by five gunshots to the head in the country Carmel, Pilar, in October 2002.
