After long weeks at home, on Sunday the children will go to kindergarten • One of the problems: Teachers living in a red city - and working in a green city • The teachers' union attacks: "The state should decide what the conditions are for opening kindergartens, how to open - and only then decide to open"

Kindergartens (6-3) and early childhood settings (3-0) will open this coming Sunday, according to a cabinet decision.

Kindergartens will open without capsules and in kindergartens in red cities they are expected to remain closed.

These are about a million children, most of whom are in orderly settings, between daycare centers, daycare centers and private kindergartens, and between day care centers and kindergartens of the Ministry of Education (6-3) that have been left at home for several weeks.

Despite the joy, there are still unclear issues - the first is the number of kindergartens between which you can switch substitutes.

Until the closure, the substitute gardeners could work in six different gardens to replace the mother gardeners on days off.

If this is banned, it means that the kindergartens will only operate five days a week, and the free day for all kindergarten teachers will be Friday - which will involve changing the agreements with the teachers' union.

The second and critical issue is mixing children in daycare.

It is expected that the number of children in the group will decrease in order to reduce infection possibilities, which means that the operators will have to recruit more staff.

The teachers' union said yesterday: "Unfortunately, the government has not learned the lessons from the previous closure and is in a hurry to reopen the education system quickly without adapting the kindergartens to the new situation and ignoring the kindergarteners and the Ministry of Health. Our consistent position is that the state "And only then decide on opening. Not the other way around. Open again because of public pressure, quickly and without proper preparation. We warn that due to lack of preparation and providing solutions, there may be severe disruptions in the opening of the gardens."

Already yesterday there were voices announcing that they will not be able to open the gardens on Sunday and will need a few days of preparation.

The Ramat Gan municipality, for example, announced that the kindergartens would only open on Monday after all the kindergarten teachers and assistants had been examined by Corona.

Another obstacle facing the Ministry of Education is the arrival of kindergarten teachers to work - while their children, students in schools, are forced to stay at home.

Another issue is the behavior of people living in red cities who work in green cities.

Thus, for example, the mayor of Givatayim, Ran Konik, announced: "Givatayim will open the kindergartens, without the workers from the red cities. This is a difficult decision, but only in this way will a locksmith be responsible."

Even the organizations that operate the supervised day care centers did not sound enthusiastic.

According to Naamat chairman Hagit Peer: "The supervised dormitories will not be able to open before Monday, and in some cases even on Tuesday - the procedure of returning the dormitory to activity is complex and takes several days, even though we warned about it so that parents do not cause unnecessary heartache. The government was waiting as usual for the last minute. "

One way to safely open the education system is the capsules, learning in small groups;

However, contrary to the recommendations of all the experts who argued that capsules should be made for all age groups, the Ministry of Education has decided that kindergartens and grades 1-2 will be opened without capsules.

In this situation the ability to quickly interrupt the chain of infection is to sample teaching staff and students.

No speed tests

The Ministry of Education has asked the Ministry of Health to provide them with rapid corona tests so that they will have the ability to quickly locate sick students and teachers.

However, as reported in "Israel Today", the Ministry of Health claims: "The technology is not yet ripe for the education system. There is an intention to perform tests on staff members, the outline is not yet closed."

And meanwhile there are local authorities already lifting the glove.

The Rishon Lezion Municipality will conduct corona tests for kindergarten staff in preparation for returning to school.

The municipality allows all staff in the city's kindergartens and municipal companies to be tested free of charge and without a referral at the municipal testing complex.

Meanwhile, with the return of early childhood education frameworks, private kindergartens will also be back in operation.

Recall that this is a business for everything and not part of the public education system.

The owners of the private kindergartens suffered a severe blow, among other things because parents who were fired or taken to the hospital preferred to leave their children at home. According to Keren Ohana Ios, Hanan Dagan and Ruthi Yonah, the heads of the private kindergartens claim that: "In the first closure and another 500 in the second closure. Many more gardens are on the verge of collapse. We demand that the Ministry of Finance find a suitable solution to prevent the collapse of more gardens, which could lead to rising prices in other gardens. On Sunday we return to routine and open the gardens."

Meanwhile, a survey by the Corona National Information and Knowledge Center for the Campaign shows that there are countries where outbreaks have been observed in the weeks following the opening of the education system.

In some countries, such as Israel, an increase in morbidity was observed among 19-10 year olds.

Therefore, the experts state that "careful planning of the next steps is required in connection with the opening of schools in Israel, and in particular with regard to the upper grades."
