Six people suspected of being involved in the importation of drugs from the Netherlands to Alsace were indicted and several kilos of heroin as well as 200 kilos of mortars seized, announced Friday the Interregional Specialized Court (JIRS) from Nancy.
“The Mulhouse judicial police branch of the Strasbourg DIPJ, the Strasbourg regional intervention group and the Strasbourg research section have arrested 12 individuals involved in an international drug trafficking network”
in as part of a large police operation conducted Tuesday and mobilizing
"more than 100 soldiers and police,"
detailed the JIRS in a statement.

At the end of the custody of the twelve people arrested,
“six of them (a woman and five men) were presented to the examining magistrate and indicted on the counts of importing drugs into organized gangs, acquisition , possession, transport, offer or sale of narcotics, money laundering, drug trafficking and criminal association, ”the press
release continued.
The investigations carried out as part of a judicial investigation since October 2019 have made it possible to update
"a network of heroin importation from the Netherlands to Alsace and, in particular, a sensitive district of Strasbourg"
, details the JIRS.
During the police operation,
“nearly 4 kilograms of pure heroin, two vehicles, one of which was fitted with an equipped cache, more than 120,000 euros in cash as well as a press used for packaging narcotics were found in search, ”
added the court.
In addition, "
more than 200 kilograms of explosives in the form of mortars, 9mm ammunition, more than 100 kilograms of tobacco and about 1000 liters of strong alcohol from contraband"
were seized.
