Armenia and Azerbaijan announced today that they have reached an agreement on a humanitarian truce in the Nagorno Karabakh region, starting from midnight.

In a similar statement, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry confirmed that an agreement had been reached on a humanitarian truce.

The situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region witnessed a sudden military escalation on the 27th of last September, at a time when the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides exchanged accusations about the causes of this escalation.
