The daily death toll from the new Corona virus in Italy has approached the threshold of 11,000.
Reuters quoted the Italian Ministry of Health as saying that 10,925 new cases of the epidemic were detected during the past 24 hours, compared to 10,010 injuries yesterday, 8,804 injuries on Thursday, and 7,332 injuries on Wednesday.
The ministry indicated that the total number of coronavirus infections that were recorded in the country since the beginning of the pandemic has become 402,536, of which 116,935 are active cases and 249,127 are cured.
The death toll from Corona in Italy increased during the last day by 47 deaths, compared to 55 yesterday, and became 36,474 deaths.
In these circumstances, the President of the coastal region of Liguria in northwestern Italy, Giovanni Totti, confirmed that the government of Rome is considering tightening the restrictions imposed at the level of the country in an attempt to deter the spread of the epidemic.
