Washington-SANA

Today, in Washington and almost all of the American states, women have protested against the re-election of US President Donald Trump in the elections scheduled for the third of next November.

The demonstrators also demanded the rejection of Trump's candidate, Conservative Judge Amy Connie Barrett, for membership in the Supreme Court, according to what was reported by Agence France-Presse.

The protesters were inspired by the anti-Trump demonstrations in Washington in 2017, one day after he took office.

The banners and slogans raised by the demonstrators emphasized one message calling for Trump's exit from power, including "Trump Pence .. Get out now" and "Trump is stupid."

The demonstrators protested against Trump's selection of Judge Barrett to replace the late Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court, given that many American women consider the latter a role model.

In New York City, about 300 women gathered in Washington Square in Manhattan, carrying banners in support of the Democrats and their presidential candidate, Joe Biden.

The US President is facing a torrent of criticism for his reckless policies at various levels, especially his contradictory statements, his successive scandals and methods of confronting the crises facing the United States.
