Today, a number of Lebanese regions witnessed sit-ins and protests against poor living conditions.

The National News Agency reported that the demonstrations, which included hundreds of protesters on the first anniversary of the start of the movement, started from the Ring Bridge towards Hamra Street and the Central Bank of Lebanon in Beirut and raised banners demanding accountability for the corrupt and the recovery of the stolen money.

The Lebanese army, who accompanied the demonstrations, cut the Ring Road towards Burj Al-Murr and Hamra Street, while the demonstrators headed to Martyrs' Square in central Beirut and to Beirut Port, where a large crowd gathered there and chanted slogans demanding to expedite the truth of the port explosion and hold those responsible accountable.

Protesters in Tripoli also implemented a human mural in the shape of the Lebanese flag, amid chants calling for improvement of economic conditions and the prosecution of the corrupt.

A group in Baalbek, in the Bekaa, carried out a protest stand in the square of the poet Khalil Mutran, before setting out for Martyrs' Square in Beirut to participate in the central movement of all the squares, demanding to fight corruption and recover the stolen money.

In Sidon, groups of protesters carried out a series of movements from in front of the municipal stadium at the northern entrance of the city with car marches that roamed the streets and neighborhoods to the square of the Elia intersection and foot marches from other gathering points to the intersection.

The participants also carried out protests in front of the branches of the Banque du Liban and a number of banks in the city of Sidon, and chanted slogans condemning the economic and financial policies and against the central bank’s policy that led the country to collapse and impoverished citizens.

In Akkar, protesters organized a group meeting at the Qlaiaat airport junction in the Akkar Plain, stressing that the movement would continue until all the stated goals were achieved.

Since the 17th of last October, Lebanon has witnessed demonstrations and protest actions demanding improvement of living conditions, combating corruption and holding the corrupt accountable.
