Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas discussed with the Syrian ambassador to Cuba, Dr. Idris Mia, ways to strengthen relations between Syria and Cuba, particularly in the economic fields.
During the meeting, Caprisas renewed his country's stances in support of Syria, stressing the need to upgrade economic relations between the two countries.
In his turn, Ambassador Mia gave a presentation on a set of issues related to bilateral cooperation between the two countries, pointing out the importance of strengthening relations with Cuba.

The meeting was attended by the diplomatic attache at the Syrian embassy in Cuba, Areej Suleiman, and on the Cuban side, Hector Ikarza, Director of the Africa and Middle East Department at the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Eduardo Martinez, President of Biocopa Pharma.
