A 28-year-old young man was arrested accused of having committed the crime of

Juan Carlos Donato, 69

, an agricultural worker, stabbed to death and then mutilated and eviscerated in a farm a few meters from the Buenos Aires-Rosario highway, at the height of San Nicolás.

The arrest took place in the Santa Fe town of Villa Constitución, about 30 kilometers from the place where the murder occurred, after the investigators located the suspect through a SUBE card found in the courtyard of the victim's farm.

Investigators from the San Nicolás DDI identified the detainee as

Sergio Andrés Tissi (28)

, with a psychiatric history, and who at the time of being located had different bruises and inflammation on his hands due to cuts and punctures apparently produced with a knife.

The San Nicolás prosecutor in charge of the case, Julio Tanús, explained that the arrest occurred after the experts found in the grass on the front side of Donato's property a SUBE card in the name of Bárbara Carolina Tissi residing in Villa Constitution.

"Now the results of other investigations are expected at the crime scene and the blood stains on his clothes and nails may be the key to indict Tissi," said, on the other hand, a police chief in charge of the operations.

Details such as the inflamed and injured hands were key to relate the detainee to the event.

Donato was found murdered and his body mutilated last Thursday around 8:00 p.m. in a laundry on the farm located about 100 meters from the highway, at kilometer 233.

Prosecutor Tanús said that it was a

"scandalous, brutal and savage attack"

, that the scene seemed to be from a "horror movie" and that even the long-standing and experienced experts who worked in the place told him that "they had never seen something like it. "

"With a sharp blade they killed him and then cut off his nose, tongue and jaw. Part of his face was removed, destroyed, this was post mortem, the perpetrator worked with the lifeless body," he explained.

Donato's relatives approached the farm where the couple lived and the horrendous scene occurred.

And he added: "Then he inserted his hand through the larynx and removed the viscera, the stomach, the heart, an unthinkable, terrible, insane thing."

Tanús said that the victim's wife had gone for a walk with her brother and when she returned she caught a glimpse of the aggressor for a few seconds, since she found him standing in front of the laundry room and when she wanted to approach, he prevented her from entering.

Finally, when the attacker fled, the woman found Donato's body and alerted the police.
