After falling this Sunday during the Tour of Flanders, the French world champion Julian Alaphilippe suffers from a fracture of two metacarpals (2 and 4) of the right hand.
He will be operated on Monday, as indicated by his team, the Quick-Step.
Julian Alaphilippe, 28, collided with a following motorbike 35 km from the finish, while in the leading group with two other riders.
The duration of his unavailability was not communicated.
