Jeanne, a French teacher in a college in Yvelines, does not go all the way.
From the start of her young career, she was shocked to see the reactions of many of her students when she was taking her course on fundamental and religious texts.
“I work in an area where the students have a fundamentalist religious education, the imam of their neighborhood is very virulent.
When I did my course, which was not very thorough, many of my schoolchildren reacted vehemently: they said that I was wrong, that the Koran was always right and that it prevailed over criminal law and scientific texts.
I felt that I was on slippery ground ”
, remembers the teacher.
