The project, launched by the General Fodder Corporation, aims to develop and modernize the Kafarbo feed plant at a cost exceeding 2.5 billion pounds to secure the needs of livestock, which has suffered over the past years from several difficulties, the most prominent of which is in the provision of feed material and its high price.

The plant will secure thousands of tons of compressed feed every month through the outlets of the Fodder Corporation to support the herds of cows spread in the governorate, which now number more than 91 thousand heads, thus breaking the monopoly of this material and preventing the exploitation of breeders.

Othman Daimis, Director of the Feed Branch in Hama Governorate, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the current work policy attaches support to the livestock sector as a top priority, and this is reflected in the expansion of the feed regulation basket that is distributed to various types of livestock through the outlets of the Feed Foundation and its branches, in addition to the development and modernization of the Kafrbo plant Built in 1974, which aims to raise the production capacity of production lines at work to 30 tons per hour, and the total cost of the development and modernization process exceeds 2.5 billion pounds, adding that all electrical and mechanical equipment for the production lines has been brought in from the German company Buhler, and an engineering plan has been developed to take advantage of several Metal equipment found in the factory, which has undergone during the past years a process of development.

Daimis indicated that the first stage of the modernization process began with the processes of dismantling the old electrical, mechanical, control, and metallic equipment and transferring them to the factory warehouses. The second phase focuses on creating concrete and metal modifications to match the new equipment, while the third phase focuses on installing those equipment with its various electrical and metal accessories. And linking it to a sophisticated computer system that organizes all the input, grinding, mixing and output processes and controls the degrees and quality of the product to be a substitute for the old control system.

Daimis indicated that the Coverbo Factory stopped producing the capsule material in 2013, but it continued to produce wheatgrass feed, which is not as efficient as the capsule material, which provides good and integrated nutrition for the livestock herds, which is reflected in the production of milk and meat in addition to the non-waste of the material for the breeders.

He stressed that taking up the Kafrbo plant after the development process would break the black market monopoly of the material and prevent the exploitation of breeders by the owners of private feed factories.

For his part, Akram Al-Youssef, Director of the Kafrbo Factory, said that the development process will be included in all departments, including the development of the mixture preparation unit, which is the placement tanks in which the raw materials are placed in addition to the weighing process tank that discharges the raw materials into the weighing tank according to the proportions required to form the mixture Where the process of weighing the components in an accurate proportion to obtain a correct mixture that secures the nutritional requirements of the animals to be fed.
