Audi in Yau Ma Tei smashed BMW into betting station and two men abandoned and ran away for drunk driving. Driver arrested for seeking medical advice

A 22-year-old Audi driver was arrested for drunk driving in a traffic accident in Yau Ma Tei. At nearly 1 am today (18th), an Audi RV was driving along Shanghai Street towards Jordan, and at the junction, along Gansu Street towards Yau Ma Tei.

A 22-year-old Audi driver was arrested for drunk driving in a traffic accident in Yau Ma Tei.

At nearly 1 am today (18th), an Audi RV was driving along Shanghai Street towards Jordan. At the junction, it shook a BMW RV driving along Gansu Street towards Yau Ma Tei. Audi then lost control and crashed into the Shanghai Street Racecourse. Standing in the window showcase, the front of the car was seriously damaged and the airbag popped out.

The two men in the car abandoned the car and fled, and took the car cam away when they left.

One hour after the incident, a 22-year-old man surnamed Xiao went to the French Hospital in Kowloon to report the case, saying it was related to a traffic accident on Gansu Street. After the police arrived at the scene to perform an alcohol breath test for the man, the alcohol breath test was about double the limit.

Xiao Nan was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

The incident occurred at about 1 am today (18th) when a BMW RV was driving towards Paotai Street on Gansu Street in Yau Ma Tei, and when it reached the junction of Shanghai Street, it collided with another Audi RV arriving from Shanghai Street.

The Audi touring car then lost control and crashed into the window cabinet of the betting station outside the Shanghai Street Racecourse. The front of the car was severely damaged and the airbag inside the car popped out.

The two men in the car abandoned the car and fled, taking the driving recorder away when they left.



According to photos taken by witnesses, two men in white shirts and black shirts ran away from Audi. The men in black shirts once returned to the car to take away their objects. The two of them even fled after a round of discussion.

The 26-year-old female driver and female passenger surnamed Luo in the BMW RV did not need to be sent to hospital because they were not injured due to the protection of the airbags in the car.

The police arrived at the scene to investigate a mobile phone found in the Audi car.

At about 2 am, a 22-year-old man surnamed Xiao went to the French Hospital in Kowloon to report that it was related to a traffic accident on Gansu Street. After the police arrived at the scene to perform an alcohol breath test for the man, the reading exceeded approximately one time the standard.

Xiao Nan was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
