For decades, the residential communities in Hama have been suffering from the organic remains of the chicken slaughterhouses, which are considered one of the most dangerous types of waste and the most damaging to those communities and the natural environment, so that the solution comes through a qualitative industrial project that contributes to getting rid of this waste and turning it into a material of value and economic benefit similar to the experiences of developed countries.

The feed supplement manufacturing project, which recycles the remains of the slaughterhouses and manufactures them as high-protein feed used in feeding fish wealth and enters as a high-value food supplement in the manufacture of poultry feed and thus is a more efficient alternative to soy protein imported in foreign currencies.

Engineer Samer Al-Maghout, Director of the Environment in Hama Governorate, explained that the facility is a rare and qualitative project to take advantage of organic waste and manufacture it through industrial and modern stages and convert it into food powder to be reused according to health conditions as a feedstuff while monitoring the work of the project and ensuring the safety of the environmental activity that it carries out through a control and inspection committee. patrol.

Fadi Turkawi, a member of the Executive Office of the Environment Sector, indicated that there are committees at the city level in the governorate whose mission is to follow up on the issue of slaughterhouses and oblige the violator to obtain immediate administrative authorization, open records with it, and sell all its organic waste to the organic waste recycling project to ensure the disposal of random dumpsites and the use of this waste in its raw form as feed For stocks, provided that these violations are transported in private, closed cars equipped with cooling systems to prevent the spread of odors, noting the importance of the feed supplement industry facility in Kafrbo as one of the pioneering projects in recycling organic waste, which operates with a capacity of 30 tons.

Ma Hussein Al-Mousa, director of industry in the governorate, called for support for the feed supplement industry or those industries that provide the import of raw materials at a high cost, indicating that the feed supplement industry project in the town of Kafrbo was implemented with full health conditions to ensure an industrial product in accordance with the Syrian quality specifications and conditions for preserving the environment. pollution.

The owner of the project, Muhammad Sheikh Al-Makari, pointed out that the idea came as a result of the large spread of the remains of the chicken slaughterhouses and the environmental damage they cause, and by looking at the experiences of Western countries through scientific references and communication networks, indicating that the project has a water treatment plant that reprocesses and sterilizes water and has installed a unit of filters and condensers Its mission is to absorb odors, prevent their emission and purify the air surrounding the facility.
