For the first time since the shutdown in spring, strict
exit
restrictions now apply due to the extremely increased corona numbers in the Bavarian district of Berchtesgadener Land
.
From this Tuesday, leaving your own apartment is only allowed from 2 p.m. if there are valid reasons, as Agriculture Minister Michaela Kaniber (CSU) announced on Monday evening after a crisis meeting with the district office and the government of Upper Bavaria in Bad Reichenhall.
The first exit restrictions in Bavaria are initially valid for 14 days.
In addition,
schools
and
daycare centers have to
close.
There should only be emergency care, as District Administrator Bernhard Kern said.
Leisure facilities of all kinds and
restaurants
are also no longer allowed to open.
According to District Administrator Kern, there are exceptions for take-away offers in the catering trade.
Events are prohibited, with the exception of church services.
Hotels
must also close, except for overnight business travelers.
Good reasons for leaving the apartment include, for example,
professional activities
, necessary
shopping
, but also
sport
and exercise in the fresh air - but only
alone
or with members of the household, as District Administrator Kern said.
The "thumbscrews" should now be tightened.
According to Minister Kaniber, the so-called seven-day incidence in the district was 272.8.
Since yesterday alone there have been 57 new infections.
The Robert Koch Institute had reported a seven-day incidence of 252.1 for the district on Monday (as of midnight) - that was initially a nationwide record.
"The starting point was again a corresponding party"
Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) had already announced on Monday afternoon that public life in the Berchtesgadener Land would have to be shut down.
"There is no other way," said Söder.
The contacts of the infected could no longer be traced there.
"So contacts have to be fundamentally restricted," he said.
The district is comparatively sparsely populated with a population density of 126 per square kilometer.
It is not exactly clear how the wave of infection came about.
"The starting point was again a corresponding party," said Söder.
Other sources of infection may be possible.
The proximity to Austria is also urging drastic measures, said Söder.
If action is not taken now, the high number can no longer be reduced.
