Director Taj Al-Din Dhaifallah, through his play “Mario and the Four Penguins,” written by Muhammad Nasser Al-Shibli, tried to exploit the children's love for dolls and brides to present educational and moral values through characters whose names are familiar and loved by the child, such as the character Mario.
Through a rich synthesis that brought together the aesthetic of the dolls, the cheerful music and the simple, beautiful and expressive word, the puppet theater presented a show that captured the admiration of the children who interacted with it by singing and clapping, moving away from the style of direct preaching and employing the story and interactive theater to create a joyful aesthetic state based on dialogue.
Director Dhaifallah mentioned to Sana that the show presented a different story of Mario's story known to the child about a person who is curious to see a mermaid and meet his penguins, through whom they learned about the human life that combines good and evil.
Dhaifallah explained that the show introduced the children through the story to the importance of preserving forests and trees, thinking about building and avoiding killing and destruction, considering that puppet theater still maintains its position because it brings the child closer to the world of imagination and creates a direct link with it.
It is noteworthy that the theatrical performance of Mario and the Four Penguins continues until the 29th of this month at the Puppet Theater at 5 pm and is represented by Taj al-Din Deif Allah, moving the brides of Randa al-Shammas Ayham Jijkli Tamadur Ghanem Iman Ammar Zainab Deeb Rana Saab Issam Hamdan Maya Nasir.
