Transavia opens six temporary lines for the Christmas holidays

The low-cost subsidiary of the Air France-KLM group is entering the domestic market.

From November 2, Transavia will serve Biarritz (19 flights / week) from Paris-Orly, as well as Montpellier (5 flights / week), Marseille (10 flights / week), Toulouse (10 flights / week) and Nice ( 4 flights / week) from Nantes-Atlantique.

For the occasion, the company is offering tickets starting at € 29 one way from Nantes, Brest, Marseille and Bordeaux.

Transavia will also provide six temporary connections from Paris-Orly from December 17, 2020 to January 4, 2021. Travelers will be able to take a preview of the line to Santiago de Compostela (Spain), a destination that will join the network from April 15, 2021. Transavia will also serve Sfax (Tunisia) and Cagliari (Italy) for the first time.

Finally, the company is reopening its service to Budapest (Hungary), Vienna (Austria) and Alicante (Spain) especially for the end of year celebrations.

Like its parent company Air France, Transavia has relaxed its ticket exchange policy.

The postponement of the trip is possible until October 31, 2021 without modification fees.

Modification is possible up to two hours before departure.

A price difference applies if the price of the new flight is higher.

Vueling recovers three domestic routes in France

Vueling is also setting off to attack the domestic lines in France.

The low-cost Spanish link since this Friday Marseille, Brest and Montpellier from Paris-Orly.

Vueling has so far only provided international flights.

Like Transavia, it has taken over the lines recently closed by Hop !, the regional subsidiary of Air France.

Volotea opens ten new lines

While its Irish competitor is downsizing, Volotea announces the opening of 10 new links on its network for the period from December 17, 2020 to January 11, 2021. Ryanair temporarily closes its Toulouse base

To adapt to the drop in reservations, the Irish low-cost company is revising its flight program downwards.

Ryanair plans to provide 40% of its usual traffic this winter, compared to 60% last winter.

Between November and March, the company will close three of its bases, including that of Toulouse-Blagnac.

However, it is maintaining its plan to open a base in Paris-Beauvais in December, its fourth in France, which will allow the opening of 32 new routes.

Iberia offers Covid-19 tests at preferential rates

As more and more countries request a negative test from foreign tourists, the Spanish company Iberia is offering its customers Covid-19 screening tests at preferential rates.

For this, Iberia has signed a partnership with the group of private laboratories Quirónprevención which applies to Iberia passengers prices 20% lower than those on the market.

A measure which mainly concerns Spanish nationals who do not systematically benefit from the reimbursement of these tests.

Three types of tests are available: standard PCR tests at € 98, with guaranteed results between 24 and 72 hours (or € 130 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays);

urgent PCR tests at € 180 with guaranteed results within 24 hours;

and serological tests at 50 €, the results of which are known within the hour.

Lufthansa reopens its flights to Bangkok

Lufthansa, Swiss and Austrian Airlines once again serve Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi Airport with regular flights from their bases in Frankfurt, Zurich and Vienna.

The three companies will operate together seven to nine rotations per week by the end of November at least.
