The bus then runs between the Commanderie and Villedieu districts.

While other passengers are on board, the attackers beat the young man.

A rain of punches, crutches and kicks fell on the latter.

One of the attackers ends up pulling out a knife and hits the victim several times in the arms and thorax.

Leaving the young man for dead, the gang eventually get off the bus, only to find moments later that the victim is still alive.

The attackers would then have tried to get on board but the bus driver would have prevented them by restarting hastily, explains on Monday the mayor (LR) of Élancourt, Jean-Michel Fourgous.

Safe, the young man was finally taken care of by the emergency services and transported to the Georges Pompidou hospital in Paris from where he would have been released Sunday evening according to Jean-Michel Fourgous.

An investigation was opened and entrusted to the urban security of Élancourt.

It is up to the investigators to determine whether it is a settlement of accounts or not.

The victim, for her part, indicates that she does not know her attackers.

If no arrest has yet taken place, surveillance camera videos were seized, specifies Mayor D'Élancourt.

"

Élancourt is a relatively calm town but which has a few sensitive neighborhoods and with them their share of violence

" confides the city councilor.

Yet this town of about 26,000 inhabitants is one of the most secure in France.

We are among the 5% of the best equipped cities in this area, not far behind Nice,

” explains Jean-Michel Fourgous.

The Élancourtois can thus count on the presence of 32 municipal police officers supported in their work by the 130 CCTV cameras housed in the municipality.
