Prepare for the decisive confrontation, this time under stringent conditions:

Tomorrow night (Thursday-Friday), President Trump and his Democratic rival Biden will meet for a second and final televised confrontation between them, less than two weeks before the election.

Ahead of the event in Nashville, Tennessee, the Conflict Committee announced that in this confrontation the candidates' microphones would be muted during the session, in order to prevent outbursts and frontal confrontations as recorded in the first confrontation about three weeks ago.

On the ground, meanwhile, President Trump continues to vigorously jump from state to state and hold rallies attended by tens of thousands of voters.

Early in the morning he was scheduled to report to Pennsylvania, one of the most important states to win for him, in order to stay in the White House.

In contrast, rival Biden, who was born in Pennsylvania and identified with her to some degree, devotes his entire schedule in recent days to preparing for a confrontation - and avoids public events.

About two weeks before the election, the U.S. is flooded with polls, many of them contradictory, but the overall picture that emerges is that Democrats hold a promising lead in the last line of the race. For example, in Pennsylvania, the CNN poll found that Biden holds a 9 percent advantage over Trump - 52 vs. 43.

IBD Survey: 2.3% Gap

Also in Wisconsin and Michigan, two more key states, the former vice president leads confidently by 8 percent - 51 vs. 43. In other key states, the CNN average is running a tighter race - in Iowa the candidates are tied at 47 percent, and in Ohio and North Carolina Biden leads about 2 percent. only.

In Georgia, the Democratic lead is only one percent (46-47), in Arizona Biden holds a 4 percent lead (45 vs. 49) and finally, in Florida, Biden leads by about 3 percent (45 vs. 48).

A new poll by the New York Times found that even at the national level Biden maintains a handsome lead of about 9 percent, 50 to 41. While the poll indicates a certain narrowing of the gap, it also shows that the president lags behind on almost all major election issues, and even lost His last advantage as someone who was perceived to be better for the economy, a front that Biden and Trump are now equal on.

The former vice president is seen as one who will take better care of Corona (by a 12 percent gap), as one who will better maintain law and order (by a 6 percent gap) and as one who will unite the United States (by a 20 percent gap).

Another survey - and less considered - of the economic website IBD presented a more encouraging picture for Trump, where the lag behind Biden stands at only 2.3 percent - 48.1 versus 45.8.

Republicans may find another reason for optimism in voter turnout in key state elections.

Despite a large Democratic advantage in the early vote - in which more than 35 million Americans have so far voted - new voter turnout figures indicate that Republicans have narrowed the gap with Democrats in recent weeks, especially in key states.

They hope a high enrollment of Republicans in Florida, North Carolina and Pennsylvania will lead Trump to victory in spite of everything.
