At nearly 9pm on Tuesday (20th), a middle-aged woman wearing a cap and a mask in a supermarket under the ground floor of Lung Lok House, Lower Wong Tai Sin, reportedly broke into the supermarket with a beef knife and threatened the 68-year-old at the cashier The lady boss surnamed Lin threatened the victim "I want a money rack". The lady Lin panicked and quickly took out 20,000 yuan in cash and handed it to the thief. The thief managed to escape. The victim's husband tried to chase him, and the thief turned around at the store and pointed at the man again. The victim then jumped into the planter and ran away from the scene.
Police officers arrived at the scene to investigate. The female victim was injured but refused to be sent to hospital.
Sources at the scene said that the supermarket has closed-circuit television and police officers are searching and recording investigations.
In a supermarket on the ground floor of Lung Lok Building, Wong Tai Sin, a lone female thief was reportedly armed with a beef knife and accused the proprietress of stealing 20,000 yuan in cash.
