And American media quoted the police as saying that a person carrying a firearm attacked a night club in an apartment complex in the city of Houston, the state capital, killing three people, including a police officer, and wounding another seriously, and he was taken to hospital.
The police indicated that a suspect had been arrested and taken to the hospital, noting that the shooting took place after their officers received a complaint of an armed attack and arrived at the scene.
A previous toll had indicated that a policeman was killed and another wounded in the shooting accident.
