The Corona Cabinet will convene today (Wednesday) at noon after its meeting last night was postponed due to disagreements between the Ministries of Education and Health on the outline of return to school.

The Ministry of Health will present at the cabinet meeting that the next step in the facilitation should include the opening of first-fourth grades, the opening of non-medical treatments and the opening of complementary medicine.

According to the presentation delivered to the cabinet ministers, the Ministry of Health believes that in order to open the studies in first and fourth grades in about 10 days, the conditions should be: separation into capsules starting from first grade, regular separation and prevention of mixing frames in daycare and transportation, obligation to wear masks for all students and teaching staff , Conducting survey tests for teachers (based on the outline "Shield Horticulture").

On the other hand, the Ministry of Education proposed that first and second grades return to school in a model of half-grades, in the format of a week from school and a week in distance learning.

The Ministry of Health, on the other hand, demanded that the lower grades be returned in capsules.

However, it was not decided what would happen to those children who would stay at home for a week, as this would require additional funds to recruit teachers.

The ministers will discuss later stages of the plan to exit the Ministry of Health quarantine.

Among other things, the issue of education, holding weddings, opening B & Bs and approving takeaways from stores will be discussed.

This, after the first phase of the outline came into effect on Sunday, which includes the opening of early childhood education institutions and businesses without a public reception, as well as the abolition of the one-kilometer distance from the place of residence.

Corona commissioner Prof. Roni Gamzo is expected to demand that ministers increase fines and increase Enforcement of prohibited events and the opening of educational institutions in violation of regulations. "In light of a dispute between government ministries, a ministerial decision and advancement of legislative amendment in the Ministerial Committee for Legislation is required as early as next Sunday," Gimzo said in a presentation to cabinet ministers ahead of the meeting.

The declining trend in morbidity continues

Following the decline in morbidity, the Ministerial Committee for Limited Area Affairs yesterday approved the lifting of the closure on Bnei Brak, Elad, Beitar Illit and Modi'in Illit, as well as on the neighborhoods of Tersdorf, Maalot Dafna and Ramat Eshkol in Jerusalem.

In doing so, only an entire Rama neighborhood in the capital remained under closure.

Corona Superintendent Prof. Roni Gamzo has repeatedly urged the public to go for a check-up, announcing that it will be possible to do so at the HMOs without the need for a doctor's referral.

In a press briefing yesterday, Gamzo said that "this epidemic, probably in the second wave, is spread through young people - they are not always symptomatic. Then it reaches severely ill adults."

The Ministry of Health updated this morning that 1,165 people have been diagnosed in Corona in the past day.

This increased the number of verified infections in Israel to 306,503.

Yesterday, results were obtained for 39,285 tests, with the percentage of positive for the virus being 3%.

The test data and their results are not final and may change in subsequent updates from the Ministry of Health.

The number of active patients is 21,010.

The hospitals hospitalize 1,079 patients, of whom 229 are respirators and 591 are seriously ill.

As of today, 2,278 people have died from the corona virus in Israel.

Yesterday, 1,479 people were diagnosed in Corona.

The number of tests was 39,773, of which 3.8% were positive for the virus.
