Projects of paving and asphalting the streets and rehabilitating the entrances have been completed by several towns in the Damascus countryside governorate, while continuing to maintain the sewage networks and remove the rigars in preparation for the arrival of winter.
The head of the Municipal Council in Daraya, Marawan Ubaid, explained in a statement to the delegate of SANA that the maintenance work of the sewage networks and the water network and the installation of rigger covers are continuing in preparation for the winter season in addition to the lighting works and rehabilitation of the main entrance to the city with the support of the people and some economic activities, pointing out that many works have been carried out during the last period With the support of the governorate, it contributed to raising the level of service in Daraya.
In Jadidat Artouz, the implementation of Project No. 2 to replace the sewage line network, according to the head of the Municipal Council, Engineer Haitham Ghoneim, who explained that this pipeline was causing many problems for citizens during the rainy seasons.
For his part, the head of the municipal council in the town of Rakhla in Jabal Sheikh Barakat Abu al-Khair said in a similar statement that the council “started implementing a project to rehabilitate and pave the entrance to the town and completed asphalting and paving a number of the town’s streets,” referring to the importance of this project because a rakhla is located in a very high area and its entrance is surrounded In deep valleys.
In the town of Adliya, the Public Corporation for Road Transport has begun implementing an expansion project for the road from Damascus As-Suwayda highway to the village of Al-Harjilah with a length of 6 km, according to the head of the local council in the municipality of Adliya, Engineer Yasser Haider, who emphasized the importance of this project for the town and the surrounding villages.
