Nicosia-Sana
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis reaffirmed that the Turkish regime continues to use extremist rhetoric and carries out unilateral actions, ignoring the international system and all international calls for dialogue.
AP quoted Mitsotakis as saying during a tripartite summit that he gathered in Nicosia with the Cypriot Presidents Nikos Anastasiades and the Egyptian Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi that Turkey is constantly escalating tensions, undermining regional stability, violating the sovereign rights of Cyprus and Greece, and has imperialist illusions associated with aggressive actions from Syria to Libya and from Somalia to Cyprus. And from the Aegean Sea to the Caucasus.
Mitsotakis added: Turkey has imperial illusions in the eastern Mediterranean, and the actions of the head of the Turkish regime involve drawing random maps or signing invalid memos, as is the case in Libya.
On the tenth of this month, Greece confirmed that the Turkish regime’s announcement of defining a new search and rescue area in the Aegean Sea constitutes a new violation that contradicts international legitimacy and calls for dialogue to reach solutions in the eastern Mediterranean region, in addition to increasing tensions in this region.
