A priest of Colombian origin left Nicaragua and another of Salvadoran nationality could travel in the coming months after, according to them and their superiors in the Catholic Church, the immigration authorities canceled his permanent residence permit in the country.
The religious believe that the decision is due to his sermons, which some consider critical of the government of Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, since the beginning of the protests in April 2018. Mario Medrano has the report.
